Jogging in the US after the shooting of Ahmaud Arbery

Ahmaud Arbery was shot while out on a jog in Georgia in the United States in February. Two months later, after a video of the incident was shared widely on social media, two white men were arrested.

It has led other African-American runners to describe how they feel when they go out running - including three-time Olympic gold medallist, Tianna Bartoletta, who wrote in her blog that "this could have been me".

"If I'm approaching someone who doesn't look like me, I typically yell 'hello' quite loudly and cheerfully on my approach... anything to make them understand that I come in peace, that I'm a friendly presence and I mean them no harm."
