
EU Threatens Poland With Sanctions
Changes to Poland's judicial system come under fire by the European Union.
Poland's conservative government plans to bring the selection of senior judges under government control, but the European commission says that breeches EU law on the need for an independent judiciary. It is now threatening sanctions against Poland if it presses ahead with reforms, including the possibility of revoking Poland's voting rights on EU matters. The BBC's Kevin Connolly in Brussels tells us all about the row.
