South Korea Proposes Military Level Talks with the North
The South Korean government has proposed its first military talks with North Korea since 2015, after the recent spate of missile tests by the North.

At least one person has been killed in Venezuela during an unauthorised referendum called by the opposition on President Maduro's plans to change the constitution.
There are reports that President Jacob Zuma had been offered an amnesty package amounting to more than $150 million to step down from South Africa's presidency, by a faction within the party. The ANC has denied that.
