The Iraqi city of Mosul has been declared liberated
The Iraqi Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi, has warned of challenges ahead after announcing victory over Islamic State militants in their former stronghold, Mosul.
At least, eleven people have died in torrential downpours and thunderstorms in Nigeria.
Los Angeles and Paris are due to present their bids to host the 2024 Olympic Games.
