Computer systems around the world have been hit by a major cyber-attack that's affected banks, retailers, energy firms and transport networks. The virus was first detected in Ukraine, where the state power company reported problems, along with the country's main airport.
Senate Republicans in the United States have delayed a vote on their proposed healthcare bill. The announcement by the Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, is another setback to Republican efforts to replace the healthcare reforms introduced by Barack Obama.
Sicily's Mafia has formed an alliance with the city's Nigerian gangs to run drug and prostitution rackets, according to Italian police. Last year alone, up to eight thousand women were trafficked from Nigeria to Italy and put to work in the sex trade.
