Helicopter 'Attacks' Venezuelan Court

Venezuela's Supreme Court has been attacked with guns and grenades from a police helicopter. Video posted online shows the aircraft circling overhead with gunfire and at least one explosion clearly audible.

The Sicilian Mafia has joined forces with criminal gangs from Nigeria to run drug and prostitution rackets, according to the Italian police. Last year alone, up to eight thousand women were trafficked from Nigeria to Italy and put to work in the sex trade.

A British couple say they were told not to apply to adopt a white child because they have an Indian cultural heritage. Sandeep and Reena Mander were born and raised British, they have a Sikh background, and the social services in the county in which they tried to adopt a child - Berkshire - say this is a problem. So the couple have started a legal case to get the law changed. Newsday's Nomia Iqbal spoke to Sandeep Mander about their story...
