Helicopter 'Attacks' Venezuelan Court

The Venezuelan military has been placed on alert after the Supreme Court was attacked with guns and grenades from a helicopter. A police officer, Oscar Perez, who's reported to have seized the helicopter has posted a statement calling for action against what he described as the criminal government.

Talks to find a solution to the long-running dispute over Cyprus are due to begin today in Switzerland. The island was divided after a Turkish invasion in 1974, which itself was triggered by an abortive coup by seekers of union with Greece.

Computer systems around the world have been hit by a major cyber-attack that's affected banks, retailers, energy firms and transport networks. The virus was first detected in Ukraine, where the state power company reported problems, along with the country's main airport.
