A glimpse of what it takes to set up a live arts event from the Venice Biennale
As Venice currently enjoys its 57th Biennale the BBC World Service’s flagship arts programme, The Arts Hour On Tour, is rounding up a star studded panel of guests and a live audience to broadcast from the city’s university. Presenter Rajan Datar went along to give you a glimpse behind the scenes. He finds out how much goes into setting up a live arts event from Nicki Paxman, the producer. Presenter Nikki Bedi explains her role in bringing it all together and the commissioning editor for arts, Simon Pitts, outlines just why The Arts Hour decided to go on tour in the first place.
