World Have Your Say - Turkish Referendum
World Have Your is back on air as it returns to Turkey to bring together a mix of voices and opinions ahead of Sunday’s referendum
World Have Your Say returns with a special programme this weekend from Turkey.
The global conversation will be in Istanbul hearing from residents ahead of a landmark referendum in the country.
Nuala McGovern will be joined by a group of voters with a mix of opinions on the eve of the hugely divisive vote on constitutional reforms. Sunday’s referendum could transform Turkey, bringing about one of the most significant political developments in the Turkish Republic since it was declared in 1923.
Will Turkey see a shift of power from the parliament to the president? President Erdogan says that the new reforms would make Turkey’s government stronger and more decisive but his critics say the new system would give too much authority to the president.
You can listen the discussion live and get in touch on Facebook or via WhatsApps if you have any questions for Nuala and her guests.
