How Will The World Have Their Say Now?

Network Controller, Mary Hockaday explains the decision to axe World Have Your Say and outlines other changes to the schedule including new arts programming.

World Have Your Say has been cut from the schedule and, as of Monday 27th March, it’s being replaced by OS: a two hour news programme which, it is promised, will incorporate the interactive debate element WHYS was known for. Network Controller, Mary Hockaday joined Rajan Datar in the Over To You Studio to discuss this decision and other major schedule changes which are being implemented.

Listeners Amboko Wameyo from Ethiopia and Don Steele from England are not happy with the BBC World Service’s decision to get rid of World Have Your Say and are outlining their concerns directly to Mary Hockaday.
