Merkel Responds to Turkish Leader's 'Nazi' Jibe

Angela Merkel has told the German parliament that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's Nazi comparison is unacceptable. Previously the Turkish leader had criticised Germany after several German towns refused permission to allow rallies by his ministers. He compared modern Germany's behaviour to that of the Nazi era. The proposed rallies were in support of a "yes" vote in April's referendum on constitutional changes to strengthen the power of the president.
