US Attorney General Steps Aside From Russia Probe
Interviews, news and analysis of the day’s global events.
The US Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, has removed himself from investigations into alleged Russian interference in the US election. He has been under mounting pressure to step aside after it emerged that he met the Russian ambassador during the election campaign. We ask a former British ambassador to Washington how unusual it is for foreign ambassadors to meet US politicians and what the standard diplomatic protocol is.
Also in the programme: artists pool resources to save Nina Simone's house; and a British doctor is reunited with baby Maram, who was badly wounded in Syria last year.
