Saudi Arabia does Comic Con

People dressed up as superheroes and Japanese Anime characters are in Jeddah for Saudi Arabia’s first ever Comic Con event.

Local media say it's part of a government initiative to bring more entertainment to the country which bans alcohol, public cinemas and theatres.

But some are concerned that restrictions on what women can wear may change the nature of the event. Saud Al-Hazani, a huge comic con fan and costume designer, told Outside Source why he was going.
