A federal appeals court in San Francisco is hearing arguments for and against President Trump's travel ban. The executive order temporarily banned entry for all refugees and visitors from seven mainly Muslim countries.

In Romania, President Klaus Iohannis clashed with deputies of the governing Social Democrats on Tuesday in Parliament. They stormed out of the Chamber when he accused them of putting their own corrupt interests ahead of the prosperity of the citizens. Nick Thorpe reports from Bucharest.
