French prosecutors probe payments to Francois Fillon's family

Prosecutors in France are reported to have widened their investigation into the financial affairs of the centre-right presidential candidate, Francois Fillon. They're already probing reports his wife earned €500,000 as her husband's parliamentary assistant, despite doubts about the work she did.
