Authorities in Bahrain have ordered an investigation into how ten prisoners convicted of terrorist offences were able to escape during an armed attack on a prison.

Campaigners in Jamaica have called on President Barack Obama to pardon the Jamaican black nationalist, Marcus Garvey, some 76 years after his death. The activists say Mr Garvey -- who became a major inspiration for civil rights, independence and Rastafarian movements -- was framed by the authorities in the US and jailed there for mail fraud.
