Syrian rebel groups put peace talks on hold

Several Syrian rebel groups -- who are accusing the government of breaking a ceasefire-- have suspended discussions on taking part in peace talks that Russia and Turkey are trying to arrange in Kazakhstan this month.

Reports from Turkey say the authorities have identified the gunman who killed thirty-nine people celebrating the New Year at an Istanbul nightclub.

An increasing number of women in Bangladesh's capital have been calling for divorce. The legal break-up of a marriage is frowned upon in Bangladesh as it is a conservative society.
