Future of Climate Talks

We assess the prospects for agreement on climate change talks now that Donald Trump has won the US Presidential election.

Global climate talks are underway this week in Morocco. Governments ranging from China to small island states have reaffirmed their support for the agreement, following the election of Donald Trump as US president. We look at the prospects for the climate change agreement after Mr Trump takes over the presidency. Stephen Cornelius is the WWF-UK's Chief Adviser on Climate Change and is in Marrakech for the talks.

One of the most significant market movements in the wake of Donald Trump's election victory was a sharp rise in market inflation expectations, as investors anticipate a new era of tax cuts and government spending in the US. Mr Trump's campaign message that he will spend $1tn on infrastructure to stimulate the US economy and create jobs is one of his few concrete policy plans and has spurred investors to bet on rising inflation. We're expecting news about UK inflation this week as well - Vishala Sri Pathma asks independent economist Michael Hughes what we are to expect from the report.

Whilst cybercrime and online theft are growing problems, cases of employees being caught with their hand in the till are still a stubborn issue for businesses. The world's largest anti-fraud organisation, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, has found that businesses lose 5% of their revenue to fraud every year. We hear from their vice President Bruce Dorris.

In Kenya, Chinese businesses have been investing heavily in recent years, building roads and train lines. The influx of Chinese migrant labour has led to some tensions with the local population and accusations of 'land grabbing'. Now these Chinese entrepreneurs are turning to the slum areas around Nairobi, seeking to improve relations with education and outreach programmes. Nicola Kelly went to meet some of those living in the Mathare slums to find out how it's going.
