There's renewed urgency in the US presidential election campaign as it reaches its closing stages. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have been rallying their supporters in the handful of states that will decide the outcome. Even Mr Trump's one-time rival, Senator Ted Cruz, has attended a rally.
A global treaty to tackle climate change has come into force. The Paris Agreement has been hailed as a turning point in the fight against warming temperatures.
