Kirkuk attack; South Africa withdraws; Leftie snail
Armed militants have raided government buildings in the Iraqi city of Kirkuk. Iraqi media said suicide bombers had attacked police stations and a power plant, but that security forces repelled fighters.
South Africa has formally begun the process of withdrawing from the International Criminal Court, according to reports. Diplomats are said to have notified the UN of the move, accusing the ICC of bias against African countries.
