Cable Cars Failure Traps Dozens Over Alps
Cable car suspense; North Korea nuclear test; Air pollution
Forty-five people remain stuck on a series of cable cars high above the glaciers of Mont Blanc in the French Alps, a local official has said. Initially 110 people were trapped, but 65 were airlifted out by helicopters. The operation was suspended as night fell and will resume in the morning.
The South Korean government says there's a high possibility that North Korea has conducted another nuclear test. A five-point-three magnitude seismic event has been recorded near North Korea's main test site in the northeast.
Air pollution is the fourth biggest cause of premature death in the world – six times more so than malaria - according to a new study from the World Bank.
