Trump Showers Putin With Praise

Trump and Clinton; German election fall out; Scottish Inuits

Donald Trump has showered Vladimir Putin with praise as he and rival Hillary Clinton took pointed questions from military veterans. The Republican presidential nominee told the forum the Russian president "has been a leader far more than our president [Obama] has been". It came on the same day the chief of the Pentagon accused Russia of sowing the seeds of global instability.

Local election results in Germany at the weekend showed that anti-immigrant sentiment is on the rise. The party Alternative fuer Deutschland, had campaigned heavily on a message of hostility to Angela Merkel's policy of welcoming hundreds of thousands of refugees and other migrants. Paul Adams reports from the city of Rostock, which has had a troubled history with migrants.

Two explorers have just completed a mission to try and uncover the mystery of how an Inuit community came to be on a remote Scottish Island. Could the Inuit have really kayaked all the way from Greenland?
