A Syrian Denied Asylum in Germany Has Exploded a Bomb

A third violent attack has taken place in Bavaria, Germany; Turkey has arrested more than 40 journalists; Civilian casualties in Afghanistan have reached a record high

A Syrian man has exploded a bomb outside a music festival in the German city of Ansbach, killing himself and injuring twelve others. It's the third violent attack in Bavaria in a week.

Turkish media say the authorities have issued arrest warrants for more than forty journalists in the wake of the coup attempt ten days ago.

The United Nations says the number of civilian casualties in Afghanistan reached a record high in the first half of this year.
