Outlook Turns 50, and Sportsworld Falls Victim to Sports Rights
Outlook’s presenter Matthew Bannister talks about hosting the programme’s Inspiration Awards, and Rajan Datar finds out how sports rights affect you.
Outlook is one of the BBC World Service’s longest running programmes. The daily strand celebrates the lives of ordinary people who have extraordinary stories. On Monday 4 July, Outlook turned 50 and to celebrate, the team hosted an awards ceremony to recognise some of its most remarkable contributors. Presenter, Matthew Bannister, hosted the live programme. This week he joins Rajan Datar to discuss the event, the winners and the future of Outlook.
Also, Sportworld has not been broadcast online outside of the UK for the past two weeks due to rights restrictions. What does that mean? Rajan has been finding out.
