The Turkish authorities have blamed the Islamic State group for a gun and suicide bomb attack on Istanbul's main airport which has caused many casualties. European Union leaders are to begin the second day of their summit in Brussels - but without the UK after it last week voted to leave the bloc.
The Iraqi city of Fallujah has been declared free from Islamic State fighters but tens of thousands of people are sheltering in temporary camps in the desert. Our Middle East editor, Jeremy Bowen, has a rare report from the Iraqi city.
