
IS: the end of the beginning?
Troops advance on Fallujah in Iraq and the IS capital, Raqqa, in Syria.
This could be a pivotal moment in the war between so-called Islamic State and much of the rest of the world. The Iraqi government began a military campaign to seize back Fallujah. And over the border in Syria, an alliance of Kurds and Arabs is trying to capture territory north of the IS capital, Raqqa.
