At Least Thirty Dead in Air Strike in Syria
Deadly strike on Syrian refugee camp; Canada fires spread south; Elections in UK
A senior United Nations official says an air strike on a Syrian refugee camp, which is feared to have killed at least thirty people, could amount to a war crime. The UN's humanitarian affairs chief, Stephen O'Brien, has called for an investigation into the attack, in Idlib province, near the Turkish border.
The Canadian authorities are preparing to airlift to safety up to twenty-five-thousand people who've been forced from their homes by raging forest fires in Alberta province. They fled north after being ordered to evacuate the city of Fort McMurray where entire neighbourhoods have been destroyed by flames.
Results are being declared in local elections in England and the Scottish Parliament with Wales to come later.
