Former Indian cricketer and World Cup winner Balwinder Singh Sandu says their victory in 1983 "was a turning point" in Indian cricket which "lifted the self belief of all Indians."
Sandy helped claim the big wicket of Gordon Greenedge in their victory over West Indies - he says "it was the wicket of hope".
The match is seen by many as the game that changed Indian cricket.
