Obama: Cameron 'Distracted' After Libya

Obama criticises allies in interview; Rubio's last chance; Japanese Tsunami.

Mr Cameron had become "distracted" after the 2011 intervention in Libya, Mr Obama tells the Atlantic magazine. He also described Libya as "a mess". But in an email to the BBC, a White House spokesman said the US "deeply" valued the UK's contributions.

And, a make or break moment in the Republican race for the presidency. Many are seeing the latest debate as the last chance for Senator Marco Rubio to make a meaningful impression against Donald Trump, particularly as the latest winner-takes all primary takes place in Mr Rubio's own home state of Florida in the coming days.

Five years ago today, a huge earthquake and tsunami hit north-east Japan leaving more than 18,000 people dead or missing. Giant waves - some as high as 40 metres - wiped out entire villages. Our correspondent Rupert Wingfield-Hayes goes back to one of the communities in Rikuzentakata.
