"Everyone should be worried" about China
Former England manager Sven-Göran Eriksson says the huge investment into football in China isn't for the short term. The likes of Alex Teixeira, Ramires and Gervinho have already turned down big-money from Europe as the Chinese Super League league continues to try to attract the world's top stars to the Far East.
The Swede has first hand experience of managing in China, at Guangzhou Evergrande, and now at Shanghai SIPG. Even he was surprised by the level of spending by clubs in the last transfer window as China sets out to become a world footballing power.
