Tougher North Korea Sanctions Plan Revealed

US and China submit draft resolution to UN; Latest US Republican debate; Apple vs. FBI

The United States, supported by China, has submitted a draft resolution at the UN Security Council, which would impose tougher sanctions on North Korea. The move follows Pyongyang's recent nuclear test and missile launch.

The latest televised debate between US Republican presidential hopefuls is underway in Houston, Texas. It's the last such event before what's known as Super Tuesday, when contests for the party nomination will take place in eleven US states.

The technology company, Apple, has asked a federal court in the United States to dismiss an earlier ruling to help the FBI unlock the iPhone of an Islamist gunman.
