How Tropicalia's founding musicians ended up in jail
Tropicalia’s key musicians - Gilberto Gil and Caetano Vesloso - played with fire and paid a high price: the two men were both imprisoned, held without charge and then exiled to London in 1969 by Brazil’s military regime. Tropicalia didn’t survive without them.
