Turkey Bracing for Increase in Syrian Refugees

Chaos in Aleppo under escalating Russian airstrikes, New Hampshire Primary Begins in US presidency race, President Jacob Zuma's home improvement case.

As Syrians continue to flee fighting around the northern city of Aleppo, Turkey has said it is bracing itself for a big increase in refugees heading for its border. The Deputy Prime Minister, Numan Kurtulmus, said that in the worst case scenario, the number could reach 600,000.

New Hampshire has started selecting its preferred candidates in the race for the US presidency.

The Constitutional Court in South Africa is to decide whether the country's president, Jacob Zuma should pay back some of the millions of dollars worth of taxpayers money spent on refurbishing his private home. An inquiry by an independent watchdog in 2014 found Mr Zuma had benefited unduly from the upgrades to his ranch, which included a swimming pool, an animal pen and amphitheatre. The police have cleared the president of any wrongdoing.
