More than $10bn has been pledged by international donors to help people affected by the war in Syria. Will it be enough to make a difference?

When Omer Eltigani moved from Sudan to the UK, he couldn’t find the taste of home anywhere. So, he learnt to cook. Now he’s releasing the first non-Arabic cookbook aimed bringing Sudanese food to tables around the world. He came to speak to Newsday and brought some tasters.
