The long-awaited findings of a public inquiry into the killing in London of the former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko are due to be released today. An investigation by British police had concluded that the Russian state was involved. The BBC Security Correspondent says that the real issue for today's report is whether that trail also leads to President Vladimir Putin.
The US defence department has been criticised for how eight hundred million dollars of economic aid was spent in Afghanistan.
A UN Security Council delegation is arriving in Burundi today to try to end the cycle of violence in the country and to promote peace talks.
