Turkey Denies Claims It's Breaking International Law

Refugees claim they're being deported; Athletics scandal; Anglican Church divisions

The Turkish government has strongly denied claims that it is breaking international law by deporting Syrian refugees back to Syria. Refugees told a BBC investigation that Syrians who were trying to cross from Turkey into Greece were detained and forced to sign papers stating they were returning voluntarily to Syria. They were then driven back to their homeland.

The World Anti-Doping Agency in its second report into drugs and corruption in World Athletics has said the former head of athletics, Lamine Diack, "organised and enabled conspiracy and corruption" within the sport's governing body, the IAAF.

The worldwide Anglican church has suspended its US branch, the Episcopal Church, from full participation in matters of doctrine - for recognising gay marriages.
