Several explosions have been heard in the centre of the Indonesian capital, Jakarta. Reports say at least one person was killed by a blast in front of a shopping centre, the Sarinah mall, in an area where luxury hotels, office buildings and embassies are located.
The price of oil has dipped below the symbolic $30 a barrel mark for the first time in 12 years, triggering sharp falls on stock markets in the United States and Asia.
And, asylum seekers in Denmark could have their possessions seized under a controversial plan which is being considered by the Danish government.
