Negotiators gathering at the UN climate change summit in Paris are expected to secure a deal on limiting greenhouse gas emissions. But a BBC correspondent says the pledges that have submitted will not be enough to meet the generally accepted goal of limiting the rise in global warming to two degrees Celsius.
The International Monetary Fund is expected to announce that the Chinese yuan will join the fund's group of reserve currencies.
