Aung San Suu Kyi is confident that her party, the National League for Democracy, is on the brink of a historic win in Myanmar. The BBC's Jonathan Head reports from the capital Yangon.

The Russian Athletics Federation is facing a ban from competition after an investigation into doping allegations by the World Anti-Doping Agency. The report was triggered by a join investigation by German broadcaster ARD/WDRTV and the British newspaper The Sunday Times.
