The acting leader of the Central African Republic has described elections as crucial to the country's future, but she warned there were enemies of peace trying to prevent them from happening.

A facility sheltering an exiled Iranian opposition group in Iraq has been bombed. The People's Mujahedin of Iran says more than twenty of its members have been killed.

Authorities in Chile have charged two forestry companies with fixing the price of toilet paper for more than a decade. It is believed to be one of the largest cases of collusion ever uncovered in the country.
