China has decided to end its decades-long one-child policy, state media reports.
China has decided to end its decades-long one-child policy. All couples will now be allowed to have two children, the state-run Xinhua news agency reports, citing a statement from the Communist Party. Also in the programme: Saudi blogger Raif Badawi, whose flogging sentence caused an outcry, is awarded the European Parliament's Sakharov human rights prize.
