A Russian Airbase in Syria

Russia's airbase in Latakia; Afghanistan and migration; Nepal after the quake

It's been almost a month since Russia began air strikes in Syria. Journalist Vladimir Isachenkov was granted a vist to the Russian airbase at Latakia in Syria, from where the attacks are launched. He tells Newsday about the base.

The BBC's Shaimaa Khalil reports from Kabul about migration from Afghanistan. She talks to young Afghans trying to persuade their compatriots to stay and build the country as well as a people smuggler.

It's just over six months since a devastating earthquake hit Nepal which killed more than 8, 600 people. The BBC's Nick Garnett was in the country after the quake and has gone back to see how they're doing.
