Alternatives To Blood Transfusion

Blood transfusions, a brain-scanning helmet and oxygen chambers

Using hyperbaric oxygen chambers to treat patients; Blood transfusions may lower body's resistance to disease. Alternatives being suggested include washing blood and use of plasma. Also in the programme, a helmet that scans brain activity while you sleep and the use of oxygen, or hyperbaric, chambers to help recover from illness or operation.
