US-Russia agreement on Syria's sky; Fukushima cancer; Hummus for peace

The US and Russia have signed a memorandum of understanding to minimise the risk of their aircraft coming into accidental contact in the skies above Syria.

The Japanese government has acknowledged what may be the first case of cancer directly connected to the Fukushima disaster.
