European leaders have agreed to look again at Turkish arguments for a closer relationship with the European Union in return for action on the migrant crisis.
In a major change of policy, the United States is to keep a substantial military force in Afghanistan for the foreseeable future.
Nigerian officials say a double suicide bomb attack in the city of Maiduguri has killed more than 30 people.
