The Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is in Brussels today for crucial talks with the European Union about the migration crisis.
The Syrian President Bashar al Assad says the US-led coalition and its airstrikes in Syria and Iraq are counter-productive, and will only spread terrorism.
Roman Catholic bishops have been meeting in the Vatican to review the church's position on issues such as homosexuality and contraception.
