Eyewitness Accounts of Oregon College Shooting

The US President urges Americans to demand stricter gun controls at a press conference held shortly after the mass shooting in the US. Gun laws once again became a hotly contested subject in the country.

It's been another day of Russian air strikes in Syria. Reports from inside the country say that the attacks have been mainly targeting groups opposed to both Islamic State and the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad. The United States has accused Russia of indiscriminate targeting. Russia says this is not the case.
