Afghan Counter-attack on Kunduz

Afghan counter-attack; army control Burkina Faso; womb transplants

Afghan government forces are attempting to recapture the key northern city of Kunduz, which fell to Taliban insurgents on Monday. President Ashraf Ghani urged Afghans to not give in to "fear and terror." US military officials say they're confident that the city can be retaken.

The army in Burkina Faso has reportedly seized control of the barracks of the presidential guard which recently staged a failed coup.

Doctors in Britain have been given approval to carry out womb transplants using organs from donors who have died.
