Tima Kurdi Makes an Emotional Plea for Borders to Be Opened

Emotional plea to open borders, Uganda's president in Sudan, Blackboards or computers?

Hungarian security forces have blocked off the main informal crossing point used by refugees and migrants entering Hungary from Serbia. Other countries, including Austria, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Poland, have also introduced tighter border controls. The aunt of Aylan Kurdi, the Syrian toddler who drowned earlier this month trying to reach Europe, has made an emotional plea to Europe's leaders to open their borders to those seeking sanctuary. She speaks to Newsday.

Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni is to visit Sudan on Tuesday. The two countries have had a strained relationship for decades with each side accusing each other of supporting rebel groups opposed to their governments.

Schools investments in computers and classroom technology might not be paying off. That's according to a global study from the think tank OECD which found that frequent use of tablets or computers is actually associated with lower results. Annual global spending on educational technology in schools has been valued at £17.5bn. So, what is the answer?
