Nasa Probe Nears Pluto After Nine Years

Pluto flypast, Greek bailout, development summit

Nasa's New Horizons probe is approaching Pluto to take photographs and collecting data from the surface. It has taken nine years and five billion kilometres to reach the dwarf planet.

The Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, will try to convince his own parliament to approve the terms of the bailout he agreed in Brussels. The deal which was struck with Eurozone leaders on Monday requires new laws to be approved by Greek MPs by the end of Wednesday, involving increased taxes, cuts in pensions and liberalising the labour market.

The UN is holding a big summit this week, aimed at supporting the world's poorest people. It is called the Financing for Development Conference, and it is being held in Ethiopia.
